A greeting, set in type

Hello Lahore

31.5204° N, 74.3587° E Punjab, Pakistan Two words, one city

Hello, Lahore. Hello to the Walled City waking up before the sun, to bread pulled from the tandoor with bare fingers, to the tangle of wires above Anarkali that somehow always keeps the lights on.

This page says one thing and means it. No itinerary, no ticket links, no advice on where to park. Just a greeting, printed large, the way a headline should be.

The City, In Brief

Mughal brick and colonial arches, a river that has wandered off, and mustard fields that turn the outskirts yellow in February. Lahore keeps its history close and its dinner late.

They say if you have not seen Lahore, you have not been born. So: hello. Consider yourself introduced.

In These Pages

Nothing further. That is the whole issue — two words, set in the biggest type the page could hold, and a little room around them to breathe.
